The Old Rectory Bed & Breakfast - Annan

This place suits me perfectly, offering excellent wi-fi, a tv, and an electric kettle. On my first visit, the staff kindly returned my forgotten headphones. I'm coming back for Easter!

The shower had no water pressure

With the breakfast the landlord has made an extreme effort.

The king-size bed did not meet our expectations. The mattress creaked every movement and couldn't lie on it well.

The atmosphere felt a bit utilitarian, reminiscent of a nursing home, with some rooms displaying signs of wear-like grubby doors and a rusty radiator. Parking was directly on the street, which raised concerns due to local noise and potential vehicle safety, especially with raucous late-night crowds. Breakfast was only served between 8 and 9 am, and there were no amenities like a kettle in the dining area for early morning coffee.

Breakfast with good vegetarian and yoghurts, for example. Gorgeous rooms, brilliant location so close to so many national parks, coast roads, Lake district, all Annan restaurants and shops and an untidy garden. Also, close to centre.

The welcome from the owner set a pleasant tone right away. They helped us settle in and provided useful tips about local dining. The room was cozy, with plenty of USB charging sockets-a thoughtful touch for modern travelers. I appreciated that breakfast was freshly cooked, with high-quality bacon and sausages along with a healthy smoothie. There were some drawbacks. Water pressure in the shower took a bit too long to warm up, and the bathroom had a slight odor. The location, while convenient for walking into town, had some noise from late-night crowds, which could be disruptive. Parking was easy and free right outside, a bonus. Despite a few minor inconveniences, it seemed like a lovely homely place.

There was a NICE restaurant and accommodating and amazing staff.

Lovely location near the town centre. The room was really comfy and clean, perfect for a quick stopover.

Water pressure in the shower was more like a gentle drizzle than a power blast. On-street parking? Watch out for racing cars!

Colin was super welcoming and even carried my bags for me, which was a nice touch. I loved the cozy breakfast room with fresh juices and a microwave—perfect for a relaxed start to the day. Only thing I'd say is I wished there were some hot chocolate sachets in the room, but it didn’t really bother me! 😊

Located near the town center, this cozy hotel offers generous, clean rooms with convenient USB charging sockets. Really nice place! Had a spacious double room that was super clean and comfy. The breakfast was fresh and hot, perfect to start the day! Loved the usb ports near the bed and the complimentary toiletries. Plus, dave was really chill and made sure i had everything i needed.

The furniture was a bit basic, could use an upgrade. Parking can be tricky during peak times.

Wi-Fi worked well, but the off-site parking was a hassle.
